I think it has to do with their sanity. Like Luna, Rainbow, Fluttershy were around 100% so mentally they could fight off the virus and BonBon, while infected, was at 90% so she wasn't fully insane and could still control herself. You guys must of read my comment about Zira’s delusional obsession of Scar to now make a video of it. My fan theory is that Zira drove Nala out of the pride lands. 1. To rid and completion for Scar 2. She believes Scar and her are destined and she in her delusional mind thinks she’s his devoted Queen. 3. Scar gives her the ear notch for not only driving out Nala but letting one of his pride members escape. But Zira still loves him. 4.
